Retailer headquarters
National-map pins represent current corporate headquarters, not every store, founding place or service region. Latitude and longitude are projected into the illustrated map and crowded headquarters are clustered until the user zooms in.
Store locations
Retailer profile maps use sourced address-level datasets and an Albers USA projection. Location counts change as stores open, close or relocate; snapshot dates appear on each map.
Distributor facilities
Distributor maps distinguish corporate headquarters from distribution centers. Facility names, addresses and numbers appear only when published by an official company source. City-level coordinates are used where an exact facility geocode has not been independently verified.
Retailer categories
Major Natural, Independent and Natural-Forward Conventional are editorial discovery categories. They explain an organization’s role in the channel; they are not legal or financial classifications.
Profiles and interpretation
Company facts are sourced where research is complete. Editorial language explains why a retailer, city, distributor or brand matters to the natural channel and is clearly separated from raw location data.
Corrections
This is a living MVP. Source links and last-updated dates make the research trail visible as the atlas grows.
